Let's get this train wreck-a rollin'!

Well, it seems like the time has finally arrived. Our big trip to Samburu lays just ahead of us, and we couldn't be more ready for it. The truck looks better than ever, our planned lessons are complete, we have cut our hair short, and we have had plenty of time to adjust to life here. Both Bryan and I feel like we have been here for a lot longer than a month (in a good way) and are very happy to be here. And tomorrow, when we wake up early in the morning to ensure we leave at a good time, we will only have excitement for the journey ahead. Let me once again highlight what we will be doing there for those who may not have a clear idea.
Eric's main ministry in Kenya is done in Samburu, centralized from a small town called Wamba. There is no electricity, running water, and very few cars there. He has a small house that works as an effective sauna (though it more like a big cellar above ground compared to any house you may know) which entertains few guests, although he has plenty of flies and mosquitoes to keep him company. He works with a couple churches in Wamba, and has been focusing on discipleship: equipping the baby churches there with the ability and knowledge that they need to operate as effective Christians. He makes frequent trips out of Wamba town to the surrounding area, particularly to a place called Nkiseu (pronounced Engisayu) where he has built a small structure- the only one for miles. There isn't a church there, and many still don't know the name Jesus, but perhaps this small roof on sticks will someday become a beacon for the area. We will be working with him to teach and mobilize the Christians in Wamba, minister to the small churches in the surrounding areas, and also witness to the locals with our testimonies, teachings, and through the Jesus Film.
The closest thing I'll have to a computer out there is my digital watch so you won't be hearing from me until we get back one month from now. I have no doubt that this is going to be one of the coolest months of my life, probably because it will be so filled. It will be filled with good, hard, fun, crazy, different, scary, hungry, tired, and many other extremes. And the cool thing is that I have heard from so many people that we are being prayed for that I hardly feel like I have to ask. You have no idea how cool that feels, so thank you for the support and for reading my thoughts here.
I thank the Lord for what he has put in our hearts, I pray that it will be by His strength that His will is accomplished, and I hope it will be clear that all we do is for His glory.

Hey Tony,
Glad ur being a compass of God, something he recently impressed on me that i need to be. ur own post reminded me of something i've forgotten to do very consistently, that is pray, so u have my word that i will also be praying for you. Since your going into the desert remember Hebrews 11, the great people of faith wondered in the desert destitute, hungry, living at extremes like u will be. Howver, God said the world was not worthy of them. God Bless, and i can't wait to see the awesome guy God has made u into when u get back. If u ever have a chance email me at satanhater0@hotmail.com. Thats a zero after satanhater. God Bless,

Hay Tonfry, its great to be able to communicate with you over this chat.

Just though I'd let you know I miss you very much (so does the shoe maker). Hey here are some words from the best book around the Bible:

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 says... (17)Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (18)And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, and are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.br/>
I believer you living verse 18 out loud and proud by growing in you likeness to Christ.

Tony I MISS YOU SO MUCH CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU,

LOVE,
ERiC Coleman

ps: next weeks the big week (teaching 360) too bad your not going to be here.

Do you know how you can tell how long a missionary has been in 'the field'?

The 1st year, they find a fly in her water glass, and pours the whole thing out. The 2nd year, they find a fly in her water glass, picks it out, shrugs, and drinks the water. The 3rd year, they find a fly in the water glass, smiles, and says, "Oh good! Soup"

Thought this was funny. God watch over you and bring you back safely.

i know that by the time you get this you'll be back, but just know that in the mean time my whole family and i have been praying for you. I also just thinks it's awesome and wanted to let you know that we have been praying for you in GroZone! It's totally the kids and you just know their prayers are from their hearts. We are all behind you and we know God will do entirely great things through your willing servanthood. Keep going strong, nothing can stop you with the God of the universe behind you

Arol and I watched a movie last week. I think you would like it. I liked it a lot. It was the Prestige. It was good. But, then again I like the Village and you didn't! You liked Lady in the Water, and it was the worst movie ever. You... might like it.

Anyway, the boys and I continue to pray for you. We are so proud of you! Thanks for being a great role model for my boys!

By the way, there was finally a decent Lost on. Before this last episode, it had been awful.

Tony: Hry Tony what is up. I'm soo glad that winter has finally ended up here. It has finally started to warm up and it was 75 degrees today. I just started my baseball season and I am having a great time. I'm just glad that the lord has given me another chance to play a sport that I love and I am going to try my best to minister to all of my teammates. I hope that you are having ah great time down in Africa and I hope that everything is going according to plan. I think what you are doing is awesome and I can't wait to get an opportunity to go to Saint Lucia to serve the lord. You are such an awesome kid and i wuld like to talk to you when you get back and I will have toplay you at core if you are still able to go there when you come back. I think you will be glad to hear that we are starting to bring back Halo and we are having a Halo party at core this week. Well I can't take up too much time because soo many other people want to write you. I'll see you when you get back and don't die and don't do drugs.

Hey Tony. Whats going on? I just want to say again how rad it is what you're doing for the Lord. I realize that my comments to you usually suck. I'm sorry for that. I'm realizing now that the whole time I knew you, I never really got to know you. And it sux because you seem like a great kid and a great friend. The only thing I really know about you is you can play guitar hero and you're amazing singer. So I just want to say that and keep up the good work. We all miss you.

Tony,
We are enjoying a few days at the lakehouse and think about you all the time....we were being seated in a restaurant and I commented how we are odd without you (5 not 6) and Andrea added that we are odd with you too!
We keep the three of you guys in prayer constantly...always know that you are loved, missed and prayed for.
We enjoyed two nights at The Great Wolf Lodge (finally) and today is our last day here at the lake. The Cravens went to the Lodge too and the Gollands visited here one evening. Dave even brought his espresso machine with them! We had a few in your honor :)
Can't wait to hear from you again and read an update.
Love you so much.....
