Home Away From Home

For the past few months I've been waiting for something to happen. I've been waiting to go to Kenya. And now I'm here! It almost feels as if I never left. This place is so familiar to me- it's not a forign country anymore. I feel so at home. And I love that feeling.

We are at Shane's house right now, in the capitol city Nairobi. We'll be spending a few days here before going to Nakuru where Eric has a house. We'll spend a month there doing little trips to schools and churches in that area, and then we will spend a month out in the Bush. And for our third and final month here, we are going to try and plan something really cool. Are you ready for this? We are going to try and get to Sudan. Shane knows a guy who works at an orphanage there, so we might try and link up with him, or we might just go to do a survey and try to meet up with some churches to get an idea of some of the opportunities there. Hopefully we won't have to drive because it's a good three day trip just to northern Kenya. Shane knows about a missionary organization that does flights there all the time which would be a lot easier to do than drive. So please be praying about that opportunity, that God may lead us and that we may be sensitive to his leading.

Please feel free to leave a comment- I love hearing from all of you!
