Safe and Sound
Well, I'm here and so far so good. We just finished up a day of training, and I'm in a cybercafe. This will probably be the only time I can give you an update for about three weeks or so. The flight was fine...Just very, long. I was delayed in Chicago for two hours. I boarded the plane, and then we just sat there on the ground for two hours. It was wonderful. And when I finally got to the airport, I came to find out that they lost my most important piece of luggage- my backpack. We stayed the night at a friend of Eric's named Shane. He was Eric and Arol's RA wile they attended Moody. He has two boys that were fun to play with...
The next morning, we went to the airport to pick up the girls. When we went in to see if my luggage was there, it was the first thing I saw. Talk about an answer to prayer. I walked into baggage claim and literally watched my bag slide by, which was crazy because it took an hour and a half to get everyone's luggage out the night before.
So after we got everything together, we took a two and a half hour bus ride to Nakuru, where Eric's house is. And that brings me to today. We will be heading out the bush this Monday for about two weeks. I can't wait. So everything here is great, and I am really enjoying myself and can't wait to get my hands dirty. So thanks for your prayers, and I'll update while I can.
Now, I will see if I can get some pictures on here...No promises though!
God bless,
Tony

So glad that your backpack made it!
I'm confident that your hands will be used to comfort, help, welcome, accept, carry burdens and heal. Don't wash them...let them get really dirty!
All my love
Your dad
Awesome!! I am so glad that your back pack arrived. Oh how awful waiting to take off for two hours. That is a nightmare. Talk about hurry up and wait. I am so glad that you met Shane, Kara and the kids. They are great. Did Eric like the gift? Well, I guess we won't hear from you for awhile. We will be praying. God has already provided for you with bag. I can 't wait to hear more of His provision and the ministry He does through you.

I'll be honest, I was the reason the bag was delayed! I was trying to hide in it so I could hang with you for a while this summer...
Well, since I can't be there I'll be praying for you that God uses this as a transformational time in your life and the lives of those you will touch!

Rock on, Tonfry. We will be praying for you out in the deep bush as you minister the gospel to folks. By the time you read this you propbably have had a significant amount of experiences already. Some rad, some not so rad. Whatever the case may be...stay moldable. Maintain your posture of servanthood in the midst of difficulty and seek His strength. I'm stoked you are doing what you are doing. It makes sitting here in Minooka kind of pale for some reason. Stay dusty, hombre.
Hey Tony,
We love you...our hearts are with you...we are praying for you and your team every day!
Big Hug from both of us,

Tony...
We are SO proud of you. Please remember what I said when you left - every minute of every day we are wondering how you are and what you're doing...we miss you.
Know that we are praying without ceasing and can't wait to get another update.
I love you so much,
Mom
Yeah! What up bretheren? Hope everything is going good and such. Did you find any Hanso Foundation buildings anywhere?
TONY. I am so happy/excited for you. It sometimes boggles my mind thinking to how you've gotten to where you have. Since the conversation about how weird it would be to get up and go somewhere outside of illinois, to the one about dinner at Julies to the one about talking about getting support to the launching(yes, you are a rocket) off to Africa. Its just so sureal. It just amazes me how you are there and sometimes i cant believe i know you. You are a brave soul boy, your heart is right with God, and you're pretty much a HUGE inspiration. Im also excited to hear all your stories/see all your pictures when you come home. Keep on staying stong, You are in my prayers.
