Civilization and Cinnamon Rolls
Currently, we are back in Nairobi, the capitol of Kenya and the center of civilization here. We are once again staying with Shane and his wife (two very nice and welcoming people) and it's great to feel at last some rest. We arrived to dinner after a three hour matatu ride (a small van that holds 14 people); tacos and cinnamon rolls. Not the most common combo, but good all the same. We did some more visitation today before we left Nakuru, including a school that really reminded me of St. Lucia. I will admit that our program wasn't as cool as the ones we did in St. Lucia, but the kids enjoyed us all the same, and we loved them as well.
So we're back in Nairobi to rest for a day, and to pick up the new arrivals from the airport tomorrow. Here at Shane's apartment, we can barely pick up a wireless internet signal from one of the other rooms...it's quite nice, but still slow. I think I'm going to have a run at uploading some pictures tonight.
Oh, and another thing I get to do tonight is play some Xbox...I do have to say I'm happy about that.
Prayer Request: This morning I woke up and heard one of my two roommates, Ernest breathing very heavily. I was worried, so I got Eric. Ernest has malaria, but is feeling a little better after we gave him some medicine. The kind he was will come and go, so please keep him in your prayers as he is a vital part to the ministry we do because of his amazing servant attitude and heart for the Lord.
So while I'm here I'll be able to be online as well, so check back for an update soon.
Tony

Hey Tony!!!
So glad to hear from you! I pray this will be a night of great rest and a relaxing day tomorrow. It will be fun to add people to your team...we've been praying for unity and effectiveness.
Can you fill us in on any specifics about the extra funds sent? Does Eric know yet how he will use those? We will be sending more because more keeps coming in...I hope that's an encouragement to Eric!
We will pray for Ernest as Dad said...stay well Tony we love you SO much. Your comments made Carly, Chris and Andrea very happy. Thanks for writing!!

Tonfry,
I'm so stoked you get to hang out with chainsaw! Ask him about the tea we enjoyed on Culby 10. Aw, I am so jealous, bro. God is giving you an experience of a lifetime. Here's a cool thought...Eric and Shane have chosen to follow God's lead to make this "experience" a lifestye. Pretty rad. Give those two guys a huge hug from me (and Kara, too). We are praying for you, broseph. Keep your heart open to God's strange ways and your eyes peeled for alternate paths he may call you to take.
I love and miss you, friend. 360 rocks, but something very distinct is missing. You are remembered often. I can't tell you how many times I have been talking with Melosh or Andrea and have said, "Dude when is Tony showing up....ahhh... never mind. I'm an idiot."
I can't wait to have a cup of coffee at Bean Encounters and catch up with your heart.
Love you man.
Arol
Hey Tony,
It's me Melissa Sanchez. I'm glad you're feeling much better, I'll put ernest in my prayers. Well, at least the xbox makes you feel even more at home right? lol. We all miss you over yonder! Everyone is right, it does feel different with you gone. I hope you have fun, and the entire Dorantes family says hello and sends their prayers and blessings. I hope that you have even more fun and reach even more people.
Sincerly,
Melissa Araceli Sanchez-Dorantes

Tony,
I am glad for your break with our friends. Kara and Shane are so sweet and fun. Have a great time!
Sarah is back and she is a LOST fanatic too. Anyway, last night a group came over to watch LOST reruns. It is just not as exciting the second time and without you, David and Augie.
Tony, I continued to be amazed by you. Keep on serving the Lord with all your heart.
Julie
