Once again, I write to you from a cyber-cafe in Nakuru...greetings!

So for the past few days, we've been getting to know the new members of the team while we go around to different schools in the area for ministry there. Tomorrow we will be purchasing all of our food and suplies that we will need for our next 12 days in the bush, starting on Thursday. The both of the new girls and John are really nice, but it hasn't been easy to have these three hook up with us right in the middle of the trip. We're all doing our best though, and I know God has a plan for this new team. It just feels as if we have all had a great time getting to know each other and we love our team, and then to have some new people on the scene is making some things hard. So please pray that we will continue to bond well so we may be effective when we get out where the work is harder.
I'm really excited about going out to Narok, but I wish we could just go back to were we were first because it was so good there. I'm sure that this new location will have adventures of it's own though...

I hope all of you enjoyed the pictures. Again, if you haven't seen them yet, my dad could hook you up.
Most likely, this will be the last time I post until I get back from the bush, but I've said that before and I was able to write again so who knows...just be praying for our vehicle that it 1) passes it's annual inspection and that it 2) will remain road-worthy for the six hour drive down into Maasai Land. It would be nice to be able to drive back as well...
But thoes are probably the main issues right now. Ernest is feeling much better- thank you for your prayers.

Well, I'll write when I can, which will probably be after 12 fun filled days out where the water doesn't run, and electricity is still a theory.

In The Zone (Berzerker)

Well everyone this is the last time I can use the internet without paying per minute because we are leaving Nairobi soon to go back to Nakuru to Eric's house. The rest of the team is here now and we are already having fun.
Fellow Halo 2 players: I had a 22 killing spree last night...it was cool. We had the game projected onto a big wall in their living room- you would have been proud.
So we will be in Nakuru for a few days doing ministry there and showing the Jesus film. Next Thursday we will go to Narok where there is a church that has already been built by Shane and a team that he helped lead. We will be there for just under two weeks- for 12 days. After that we will be spending a day at a game park and before I know it, I'll be flying back home.
It was great talking to everybody at the church- it was a nice surprise. I'll remember to keep Spy Kidz in my prayers. I really miss you all, and yesterday was a nice reminder of all the great friends and family that I have back home.
I was able to send some pictures to my dad (it took to long to upload them onto here) so if you want to see them, I think he may try to put them up, or you could ask him and he could e-mail them to you.
Thanks for all the support!

Civilization and Cinnamon Rolls

Currently, we are back in Nairobi, the capitol of Kenya and the center of civilization here. We are once again staying with Shane and his wife (two very nice and welcoming people) and it's great to feel at last some rest. We arrived to dinner after a three hour matatu ride (a small van that holds 14 people); tacos and cinnamon rolls. Not the most common combo, but good all the same. We did some more visitation today before we left Nakuru, including a school that really reminded me of St. Lucia. I will admit that our program wasn't as cool as the ones we did in St. Lucia, but the kids enjoyed us all the same, and we loved them as well.
So we're back in Nairobi to rest for a day, and to pick up the new arrivals from the airport tomorrow. Here at Shane's apartment, we can barely pick up a wireless internet signal from one of the other rooms...it's quite nice, but still slow. I think I'm going to have a run at uploading some pictures tonight.
Oh, and another thing I get to do tonight is play some Xbox...I do have to say I'm happy about that.

Prayer Request: This morning I woke up and heard one of my two roommates, Ernest breathing very heavily. I was worried, so I got Eric. Ernest has malaria, but is feeling a little better after we gave him some medicine. The kind he was will come and go, so please keep him in your prayers as he is a vital part to the ministry we do because of his amazing servant attitude and heart for the Lord.

So while I'm here I'll be able to be online as well, so check back for an update soon.

"Do you -- know what you -- are getting yourself into."

Hello WORLD!
So, right now, I wish I could sit here for a couple hours and give you all some great stories and a full update, but that would cost my more shillings than I have....and please ignore the spelling errors- I'm typing this fast because time is money at this place...

I want to let you all know that I'm doing great. We just got back from two weeks in the bush, and it was a very good time. We are glad to be back in Nakuru though (it was an 11 hour truck ride back here)...it was a long couple of weeks. It started interesting...a ten hour truck ride up there, but we broke down after nine, so we had to camp on the side of the road. The next day we made it to Wamba (sort of like our base camp) and spent a couple of days there. Then to Ngali for three days, and then to Nkisseu for a week. That was the hard one. Lots of walking and very late nights, but all very good. Eric says that was by far the hardest week of the trip. I did get sick about a week ago and Eric thinks it was something with the water I drank, but it wasn't too bad. I was just really dizzy (I almost threw up) and lost my appetite for a couple days. I got better a lot faster than Eric thought I would though, and I was happy to be up and out of the tent. Kelly, one of the girls from Moody got sick as well, but she was a worse...she threw up a few times, and she is still recovering. But we are all good and are now doing some ministry with the kids here in the city. Thursday will be our day of rest- we'll be back in Nairobi to rest and also pick up three others. I was glad to here that two of them are closer to my age- one 16 (I won't be the youngest anymore), and the other just graduated high school. they are coming with a guy named John from Moody, who just finished his first year (I think). But the team is really great so far. I have really enjoyed getting to know Julianne and Kelly, along with some local people that have joined us in the bush. They are all good, hardworking people and we're a great team.
Like always, thank you so much for your prayrs and comments. It's a great encouragement. So far, I have over 330 pictures taken, and I might be able to up some up, but it's a pain with the slow connection...you might just have to wait.
So I need to get going now, but just know that it's been a great three weeks, and that I'm doing fine. Please keep praying for our team, and for our new additions, as well as for the people in Massai land, where we will be heading out to for our last two weeks.
Here is something I have in my head...(kudos if you know what it's from...)

"The road goes ever on and on,
down from the door where it began,
now far ahead the road had gone,
and I will follow if I can."

To my Family: I really miss you guys! I'm showing off the pictures I have of you to everyone here. Dad, thank you so much for your note- it's been a huge help and I carry it in my bible all the time. Mom, your note was very encouraging as well (I got all teary) so thank you for that and all the love you sent with and in it. Andrea, I really miss you too. I was letting one of the girls use my 360 hoodie, and she had here hair like you might wear yours, and she wears glasses, and when I glanced over I was like, "Andre- oh..." but I do miss you, and your note was great as well- sometimes I forget how mature you are. Carly, how are things? Are you keeping the family together still? I really miss you and your great smile. And Chris, life is just boring here with out you to make me laugh. So maybe write a coment with a joke or something, because I really miss your coolness.
I love you all, and I can't wait to see you again in three weeks.

Safe and Sound

Well, I'm here and so far so good. We just finished up a day of training, and I'm in a cybercafe. This will probably be the only time I can give you an update for about three weeks or so. The flight was fine...Just very, long. I was delayed in Chicago for two hours. I boarded the plane, and then we just sat there on the ground for two hours. It was wonderful. And when I finally got to the airport, I came to find out that they lost my most important piece of luggage- my backpack. We stayed the night at a friend of Eric's named Shane. He was Eric and Arol's RA wile they attended Moody. He has two boys that were fun to play with...
The next morning, we went to the airport to pick up the girls. When we went in to see if my luggage was there, it was the first thing I saw. Talk about an answer to prayer. I walked into baggage claim and literally watched my bag slide by, which was crazy because it took an hour and a half to get everyone's luggage out the night before.
So after we got everything together, we took a two and a half hour bus ride to Nakuru, where Eric's house is. And that brings me to today. We will be heading out the bush this Monday for about two weeks. I can't wait. So everything here is great, and I am really enjoying myself and can't wait to get my hands dirty. So thanks for your prayers, and I'll update while I can.
Now, I will see if I can get some pictures on here...No promises though!

God bless,
Tony
